18: Platform Playhouse (Part 03)

You can use these basic sprites if you want or need to focus your time on the more challenging aspects of making a game.
If you tend to finish your assignments early, I recommend finding assets that are more to your desired theme.

Pencil Icon Instructions

Step 1: 

Open your game from the prior assignment. Use "Save As..." to save it with a new name (e.g. "Platform Playhouse 3").

This will serve as a backup and allow you to return to a working copy of your game if something goes wrong.

 

Step 2: 

Add an enemy to your game. Also, add two invisible marker objects for left and right movement. Make your enemy move back and forth between the marker objects.

Save your game now!

 

 

Step 3: 

Add events so that the player and enemy interact with each other. The enemy will kill the player when they collide except when the player is jumping onto the enemy.

Step 5:

Show the teacher your completed work and receive a verification code to enter in Canvas during class.
