Scoring System

The Weighted Score for each topic is calculated as follows:

A = (# of 1st choice responses) x (highest weight factor)
B = (# of 2nd choice responses) x (middle weight factor)
C = (# of 3rd choice responses) x (lowest weight factor)
D = (average overall interest - 5)¹ x (highest weight factor)

Weighted Score = A + B + C + D

This scoring system ensures that all responses for a choice are factored in while giving greater importance to 1st choice selections and high overall interest. 

¹ Only average interest above 5 is used since responses below 5 indicate low overall interest in a topic.
