There are many ways to organize the engineering design process in a diagram.
Some diagrams will show many steps, some will only have a few.
We’ll use the diagram below since it has a good balance between simplicity and completeness.

Instructions

Step 1: 

Create a copy of the activity guide:

Step 2:

You will complete the main activity in a small group. The activity guide will be used to:

• • Document your process
  • Describe your design and final product
  • Record measurements and observations of your design

When you reach the building phase, be sure to take accurate measurements and record them.

NOTE: Your activity guide should be complete enough to demonstrate your participation in the activity and understanding of the process. It should be clear what you accomplished!
